
The University of Waterloo was officially established in 1957 and has rapidly grown into one of Canada’s top universities in less than seventy years, renowned worldwide for its innovation and academic excellence. Cooperative education (CO-OP) is a hallmark and strength of the university—it is the largest co-op education base in all of North America, offering year-round or 8-month co-op placements. Alumni are spread across more than 150 countries.
Open to individuals aged 18 and above. Experience different cultures and practice English listening, speaking, reading, writing, and fluency skills. Senior students communicate learning progress and lead local social activities, providing opportunities for bold communication and socializing. Guided visits to popular Ontario attractions and educational centers/museums to experience local culture. No specific language requirements for applicants—students are placed in classes based on current proficiency upon arrival.
