UT Austin Pre-College Summer Program

School Introduction

The University of Texas at Austin was founded on September 15, 1883, and is the flagship campus of the University of Texas System. Located in Austin, the capital of Texas, it is a public research university. Since its founding, it has produced 13 Nobel laureates, 2 Turing Award winners, and 18 Pulitzer Prize winners, with 35 members of the National Academy of Sciences, 52 members of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and 57 members of the National Academy of Engineering. Its athletes have won 144 Olympic medals, and its football team has won national championships.

Program Schedule

• 06/14–06/26 (2 weeks, Business/Medicine/Engineering/Psychology etc., application deadline 05/01)
• 06/28–07/17 (3 weeks, Business/Computer Science/Humanities/Law/Medicine etc., application deadline 05/01)

Program Highlights

• Beyond coursework, participate in guest speaker sessions and field trips exploring the city of Austin
• Extracurricular activities and field trips arranged every afternoon, evening, and throughout weekends
• Official completion certificate and transcript upon program completion
