School Introduction

The University of Pennsylvania is an Ivy League institution, ranked #15 in the 2026 QS World University Rankings. Founded in 1740, predating the founding of the United States, by founding father Benjamin Franklin, it is the fourth-oldest university in America and the first modern institution of higher education in the U.S. to engage in scientific, technological, and humanities education.
