UCLA Anderson Pre-College Summer Program

School Introduction

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is one of the best public research universities in the United States and the world, ranked #1 among U.S. public universities. UCLA has a College of Letters and Science and 11 professional schools, with over 40,000 students, making it the largest school in the UC system. UCLA's library system is among the best in the U.S., with 16 professors and alumni having received the Nobel Prize.

Located in Los Angeles, California. UCLA's Westwood neighborhood is one of the safest and most attractive communities in Los Angeles, just a short drive from Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and the beach.

Program Details

An official program established and operated by the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Students may freely choose from three tracks: Sports Business, Foundations in Business Leadership, and Digital Advertising and Brand Strategy. The program lasts 2–3 weeks, taught by Anderson School professors, includes rich on-campus social activities and off-campus exploration, and concludes with an official UCLA Anderson School of Management certificate.

• Sports Business Academy: 07/05–07/17, 07/19–07/31 (Application deadline 05/15)
• Foundations in Business Leadership Academy: 06/28–07/17, 07/19–08/07 (Application deadline 05/01 Session 1, 05/15 Session 2)
• Digital Advertising and Brand Strategy Academy: 06/28–07/17, 07/19–08/07 (Application deadline 05/01 Session 1, 05/15 Session 2)

Program Highlights

• Shorter official program taught by Anderson School professors; students enter on B2 visa and earn official Anderson School certificate upon completion — shorter than credit-based summer programs (2–3 weeks)
• Multi-level safety measures: students live in undergraduate dorms, eat at campus dining halls, enjoy localized security services during the program, and are accompanied by staff throughout all activities
• On-site company visits and rich on/off-campus activities including visits to Sony, Paramount Pictures, and other renowned companies, Hollywood landmark tours, campus social events, and day trips
