Korea University Visiting Student Program (VSP)

School Introduction

Korea University is a private research university in South Korea, founded in 1905 and one of the oldest universities in Korea. Together with Seoul National University and Yonsei University, it forms the prestigious "SKY" group. The university has 16 undergraduate colleges and 20 graduate schools, and houses the oldest library in Korea.

Program Details

The VSP program is designed for outstanding undergraduates worldwide, offering an immersive Korean academic and cultural experience. Multiple schedule options available: full academic year / spring semester / fall semester. Diverse English-taught courses offered (varying each year), reducing language learning barriers. Credits are transferable. Students may apply for Korea University dormitory or off-campus housing.

• Academic Year: March–December / September–July (following year)
• Spring Semester: March to July

• Spring Semester Application Deadline: October 1 to October 31

Requirements

• Major: No restriction
• GPA: 2.5+/4.0
• Must have completed at least two semesters at home institution before applying
• Transcripts for at least two semesters required
• Admission Essay (no more than one page)

Fees

• Tuition: From KRW 5,000,000 (approx. USD 4,000)
• Application Fee: KRW 100,000 (approx. USD 80)
• Service Package: From $500
